MODEL RAILROAD CLUB

PURPOSE

To promote Model Railroading to the general public and have fun in a family setting.

CLUB HISTORY

The LOCO LOCAL MODEL RAILROAD CLUB was formed October 30, 1987, Nineteen (19) people ranging in age from seven (7) years to retired attended that first Meeting.

In January 1988 we participated in our first mall . We took a number of individual layouts and were able to put together a two (2) foot by eight (8) foot layout that all members of the club had worked on. Since that first show, we have put on shows at libraries, museums, Threshermans Park, Scales Lake Park, and churches. We also do programs for elementary schools. There is never a charge for our shows.

We are a multi scale family club represented by "G", "0-27", "HO", "N", and "z" scale. We have modular layouts in "0-27", "HO", and "N" scales. We hold monthly meetings at which are always welcome.

CLUB MEETINGS

Our club meetings are held on the second (2nd) Friday of each month at the Newburgh Presbyterian Church, Newburgh IN at seven (7) pm. Visitors are always welcome.
No Meeting is held durning the month of December.
